Google Maps Downloader is an automated downloader tool which will bring Google Maps images directly onto your PC.

Download small tiles directly and store them onto your hard disk, including normal maps, satellite maps, hybrid maps, terrain maps and customized styler maps (among many more).

Once downloaded, maps can be viewed offline with its tool, Maps Viewer; combined small images into one large map image or exported all tiles as part of an mbtiles format database for export; it makes creating your own map much simpler! If you wish to map out your city yourself this would be very handy indeed!
